Emohua local government chairman, Dr Chidi Lloyd, on Monday joined dignitaries from all walks of life to witness the formal commissioning of the Dr Peter Odili Cancer and Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Treatment Center built by the Rivers State government in Rumuokwuta town, Obio-Akpor LGA, Rivers State.
The world-class medical facility commissioned by the Emir of Kano, His Eminence, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, on the invitation of the Rivers State government was completed and equipped within 17 months by the Nyesom Wike-led Rivers State government.
Gov. Nyesom Wike was accompanied by his wife, Hon. Justice Eberechi Suzzete Nyesom-Wike.
Former governor of Rivers State, Dr Peter Odili, and his wife, Mary Odili, JSC, Rtd., the governorship candidate of the PDP in Rivers State, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, and his running mate, Prof. Ngozi Odu, were among the prominent leaders who attended the ceremony.
